| 2009 Homestead Rebate Application Information |
| September 02, 2010 |
| The Division of Taxation will begin mailing the 2009 Homestead Rebate applications to all eligible homeowners. The delivery date for all Union County residents is expected to begin around September 25th. Homeowner benefit applications must be filed either via internet or telephone.
Under the terms of the State Budget for fiscal year 2011, homestead benefits for 2009 will be applied directly to property tax bills for the second quarter of 2011. After 4/1/11, eligible homeowners can expect to receive from the tax collector a revised property tax bill or advice copy that will reflect the amount of the benefit. The State will no longer be mailing checks for the Homestead Rebates. | |
